Mandalay – Ava – Amarapura – Mandalay

amarapura-05Pick up from Hotel by our guide and visit to ancient city Amarapura ,means City of Immortality founded in 1783 AD .Highlights are Mahaganthayon monastery the largest teaching monastery in Myanmar, U Bein wooden Bridge constructed in 1849 is about three quarter of a mile with 1086 posts. Then drive to Inwa( Ava) it was once a royal capital for four times over various dynasties. From 14th to 19th century. The remains evidence which we will visit is Maha aung mye bonzan Kyuang donated by the queen Mai Nu 1818. Bagaya Monastery built with 267 post of teak pillars and the watchtower. Mandalay Hill,the natural watch-tower for the visitors to watch sunrise or sunset over the city plains. Mahar Myat Muni Buddha Image the most ancient Buddha image casted in bronze in Myanmar. Shwenandaw monastery a significant masterpiece of the wood-carver’s art, Mandalay palace the first palace to be built in Mandalay by King Mindon. Then transfer back to hotel.

Mandalay - Saggaing – Mingum – Mandalay

mandalay-10Pick up from Hotel by our guide and visit Sagaing Hill where over 600 monasteries for monks and nuns are located for Buddhist studies and meditation. Visit Kaungmudaw Pagoda a huge pagoda in 46 m (151 feet) high and in the shape of a perfect hemisphere, U min Thonze or thirty caves pagoda has many Buddha images in a crescent shaped colonnade, Ywahtaung Village where you can see silver workers producing bowls and other silver items by traditional methods and the most impressive Soon Oo Pon Nya Shin Pagoda nearby. After that take a private boat to Mingun that is famous for its huge and incomplete Pahtodawgyi Pagoda built by King Bodaw Badon in 1791 and Mingun Bell the biggest hanging bell in the world. Then transfer back to your hotel at Mandalay.

Mandalay – Inwa ( Ava ) – Sagaing

sagaing-04Pick up from Hotel by our guide and visit to Inwa ( Ava ), a historical capital founded by King Thado Moinbya in 1364. Extended visit will be made to Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery which is a fin e example of Myanmar masonry art and architecture, Mai Nu Brick Monastery and old watch tower. Tour continues to picturesque Sagaing Hills, 21 km south-east of Mandalay and west bank of Ayeyarwaddy River. Sagaing Hills is a retreat for Buddhist devotees with numerous pagodas and monasteries. Visit to Kaung Mu Daw Pagoda, Uhminthonzae  Paya;(it is a cave there was placed 45 Buddha Images in 14th century), Swamooponyashin Paya;(there is very peaceful and get cool eyes looking at environment), watching sunset from Sagaing Hill. Then transfer back to your hotel at Mandalay.

Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin – Mandalay

02Pick up from Hotel by our guide and visit to Pyin Oo Lwin, a popular hill station about 69km away from Mandalay and it is well known for its colonial style houses with large compound and pine trees, eucalyptus and silver-oak abound in town. Upon arrival take a house cart to visit Botanical garden where 4840 trees mostly pine varieties, 575 different floral species and many exotic fruit, flower and shade trees from abroad were acclimatized to grow. Afternoon visit Pwe Kauk waterfall, the fantastic Peik Chin Myaung Cave, inside a gushing stream twists and turns around the countless images and mini-pagodas that devout Buddhists have created. Then transfer back to your hotel at Mandalay.

Mandalay – Monywa  – Mandalay

monywa-02Pick up from Hotel by our guide and visit to Monywa, lies 136 km north-west of Mandalay. Visit Thanboddhay pagoda is the only pagoda with this unique shape in the whole country. The square temple base (each side about 166 feet) which worshippers can enter is topped by receding terraces. There are many different Buddha images, row upon row in ascending tiers in niches along the walls: the total number is 582, 257. Then continue visit to Boddhi Tataung pagoda. Pho Win Daung Cave, contains Buddhist statues and murals dating to the 17th and 18th centuries. Then transfer back to your hotel at Mandalay.
